Costello Playing Fields is having some major upgrades, which include a purpose-built 3G all-weather pitch with a dedicated changing facility, additional parking and an EV charging point.

The project, which has benefitted from considerable investment from Hull City Council has created a state-of-the-art year-round sports provision in west Hull, providing a high-quality facility for community user groups during peak times, such as evenings and weekends, and the 3G pitch will be used by Hull College during the day in term time.

The new multi-use 3G pitch is ready for use, surrounded by secure fencing and floodlights to allow more people to use the facility into the evenings. The new pavilion is also almost completed, with focus now on finalising the interiors and new car park.

The new facility, delivered by Esteem and their construction partner, Sewell Construction, will be up and running in July, when Hull College and other sports teams will be able to use it.
