An exciting £5.5m project at Costello sporting complex in West Hull is nearing start on site. The project will see the construction of a new 3G playing pitch alongside a purpose-built changing pavilion and overflow car parking.
The investment will allow residents and sporting groups from across the city to have access at evenings and weekends, with students from Hull College of Further Education using facilities during weekdays in term-time.
Costello Stadium is the region’s major athletics facility, and includes a fitness suite with a variety of machines, a floodlit athletics track with field athletics areas, a large indoor sports hall, four outdoor tennis courts, a fitness and sports hall and meeting and conference facilities. The new 3G pitch and improved facilities will enhance the city’s sports facilities still further, and ensure the stadium is fit for the future.
