Ennerdale Leisure Centre will undergo a year-long energy efficiency improvement scheme after receiving £750,000 from Sport England’s Swimming Pool Support Fund.
The project, managed by Esteem and delivered by Hobson & Porter, will see improvements including upgrades to the pool hall windows, roof maintenance, replacement of external doors and repairs to the small pool to allow it to reopen for the community to enjoy.
All works will take place simultaneously to minimise customer disruption, with the centre expected to reopen in summer 2026.
