Work is underway to create a dedicated unit and resource base for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) at Boulevard Academy.
Esteem is project managing the installation of a new modular building, on an existing mound in the academy grounds. The building will be installed on a piled foundation, with an accessible decked area featuring both ramp and step access. There will also be landscaping improvements, to ensure the new building integrates smoothly with its surroundings.
Piling work is now completed and groundworks are well underway in readiness for the installation of the modular buildings in early November. Handover is expected in December ready for students to start using the facility in the new year.
Once complete, school staff will be able to support an additional 25 pupils with SEND within the school.
